Timo Nagy [ nɒɟ ] (born April 20, 1983 in Altötting ) is a German soccer player with Hungarian roots. He can be used in midfield as well as a full-back.

Career

Nagy played in his youth for SV Gendorf in Burgkirchen as well as for FC Bayern Munich and moved to Burghausen in 1998 in the B-Jugend.

After his time in the youth teams, he moved up to the second team, but was a member of the so-called support group of SV Wacker from the start and was thus allowed to train with the players of the first team. He came in the 2001/02 season for a use in the Regionalliga Süd . An injury set him back and he played for the amateurs.

In the winter break of the 2005/06 season Nagy got a new chance after good performance with the amateurs and moved up into the professional squad. He made twelve appearances with one goal in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Before the 2006/07 season, Nagy moved to Hannover 96 as a perspective player . But he could not play a game for his new club because he had to undergo a pubic bone operation. To get match practice, Nagy was loaned out to his ex-club Wacker Burghausen during the winter break.

Since 2007/08 he has been wearing the SpVgg Unterhaching jersey , with which he qualified for the 3rd division . On the 37th matchday of the 2008/09 season, he scored his first goal for SpVgg against FC Carl Zeiss Jena .

Nagy moved there in 2009/10. He signed a two-year contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena. On April 27, 2010 (28th matchday) he tore a cruciate ligament in the away game of his club at Wacker Burghausen , which meant that he had to take a break for almost a year. For the 2011/12 season Nagy moved to third division club SV Wehen Wiesbaden , where he signed a contract until the end of the season.
