She is a graduate of Medicine and Chemistry from the University of Toruń . In addition, she completed a so-called Catholic postgraduate course in journalism and adult education at the Pedagogical Institute of the University of Toruń. Since the first half of the 1990s she has been closely associated with the Catholic nationalist Radio Maryja , on which she frequently makes contributions. She is also a member of the “SOS State Secretariat for Radio Maryja”.

She is Lady of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and a member of the Foundation “Protection of Life” of the Diocese of Toruń. From 1995 to 1998 she headed the Association of Catholic Families in the Diocese of Toruń. She is active in spreading the methods of natural family planning and works as an adviser for families in the garrison parish in Toruń.

From 1997 to 2001 she was a member of the Sejm for Akcja Wyborcza Solidarność (Solidarność electoral alliance - AWS). She left the group together with Jan Łopuszański . In 2001 and 2005 she was elected to the Sejm for the Liga Polskich Rodzin (League of Polish Families - LPR), in 2005 she received 13,761 votes from the constituency of Toruń. She headed the Sejm Committee on Family and Women's Rights and was a member of the Committee on Culture and Mass Media. On September 22, 2006, she joined the newly founded Ruch Ludowo-Narodowy (People's National Movement - RLN) together with other members of parliament . Since December 18 of this year she was a member of the Ruch Ludowo-Chrześcijański (People's Christian Movement). In May 2007 she was again a member of the RLN. In the 2007 parliamentary elections , she was elected to the Sejm with 15,180 votes from the list of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS) and is a member of the Sejm committees for health, culture and mass media.

Controversy

Controversy aroused her statements about Krystian Legierski , a colored activist of the gay movement, whom she described as a person who is “at least half of the Polish nationality”.

She came up with the idea of ​​burdening childless citizens with a higher tax rate and introducing state pensions for mothers who would give up their work to raise children.

In May 2007 Anna Sobecka called for a ban on reporting on the subject of homosexuality on television.
