Timo Pitter (born September 1, 1992 in Schweinfurt ) is a former German soccer player .

The attacking midfielder played in Major League Soccer for FC Dallas in the 2016 season .

Career

youth

Pitter comes from Oberschwarzach and played for FC Gerolzhofen in his youth. Later for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 .

1. FC Schweinfurt 05

In 2010 Pitter moved to the first team of FC Schweinfurt 05. In the fifth-class Bayernliga and Bayernliga Nord, he played 54 games and scored 8 goals.

Change to the USA

In 2012, Pitter received an athletic scholarship from Creighton University . While studying economics, he played for the Creighton Bluejays, the university's college soccer team. In the following three years he scored 33 goals in 89 games.

Major League Soccer

On January 14, 2016, he was selected as the 33rd overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas. He made his Major League Soccer debut on March 26, 2016. He was substituted on in the game against DC United in the 81st minute. Most of the rest of the season, Pitter played for Oklahoma City Energy in the United Soccer League .

On January 27, 2017, Pitter announced the end of his career, but returned to the football business for the 2019/20 season and signed a contract with Regionalliga-promoted TSV Aubstadt.
