Timo Schwarzkopf (born October 23, 1991 in Mleqan, Kosovo as Festim Kryeziu ) is a German professional boxer of Kosovo-Albanian origin. He boxes in the light welterweight and welterweight classes . He won his first title ( EBU -EE) in 2014.

Timo Schwarzkopf started his amateur career at the age of 10 (28 kg) and won 60 out of 70 fights with 8 defeats and 2 draws. Within eight years he was Württemberg champion 15 times.

Professional career

In 2010 Schwarzkopf played his first professional fight. Since then he has been unbeaten in his first 14 fights. Of these, he ended 8 fights prematurely. Among his opponents, he beat title holders such as Ismael El Massoudi (39 wins, 8 losses) and Junior Witter "The Hitter" (43 wins, 7 losses). In his 14th fight on May 3, 2014 in Berlin, he boxed against Anzor Gamgebeli for the EBU-EE light welterweight title and won by giving up his opponent in the first round.

Timo Schwarzkopf lived in Kosovo (Mleqan) for the first five years of his life until he and his family (two sisters and two brothers) fled to Wangen im Allgäu before the Kosovo War (1998/99) .

After graduating from school, he moved to Stuttgart at the age of 18 and became a professional . In 2014 he received German citizenship .

In 2012 Timo Schwarzkopf played the leading role in the film Der Trainer , a production by Thomas Landenberger and Thomas Siegle.
