Timor Trench
The Timor Trench is a deep sea channel up to 3310 m deep in the extreme northeast of the Indian Ocean .

As the northwestern part of the Timor Sea , the Timor Trench is located between Timor in the north, the Tanimbar Islands in the northeast, the Arafura Sea in the east, the actual Timor Sea in the south and the island of Roti in the west.
The Timor Trench forms part of the deeply incised seam between the Eurasian plate in the north and the Australian plate in the south, with the second dipping under the former plate ( subduction ).
