Timothy Everard

Timothy John Everard , CMG (born October 22, 1929 ) is a former British diplomat who was ambassador to the German Democratic Republic between 1984 and 1988 . He then worked from 1988 to 1993 as General Secretary of the Order of Saint John .

Life

Timothy John Everard, son of Charles M. Everard and his wife Monica M. Barford Everard, found after joining the diplomatic service uses in numerous missions abroad as well as at the State Department ( Foreign Office ) . He served from 1972 to 1973 as Consul General and Charge d'Affaires (charge d'affaires) in Hanoi and subsequently from 1974 to 1978 as Counselor for Economic and Trade at the Embassy in Greece . In 1978 he became Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) for his services . He was then from 1978 to 1981 Counselor for Trade at the Embassy in France and from 1981 to 1984 Deputy High Commissioner in Nigeria .

Most recently Everard succeeded Peter Maxey as ambassador to the German Democratic Republic and held this position until he left the diplomatic service in 1988. From 1988 to 1993 he was Secretary General of the Order of Saint John .

His marriage to Josiane Romano in 1955 resulted in two sons.
