Timothy Jones (cyclist)
Timothy David Jones (born August 1, 1975 in Harare ) is a former cyclist from Zimbabwe .
Timothy Jones began his career in 1997 with the Amore & Vita cycling team . In his second year he won a stage at the Giro del Capo and also won the overall standings. He was also a Zimbabwean time trial champion . A year later he won a stage and the overall standings in the Tour of Slovenia . In 2000 Jones switched to Mobilvetta Design , where he won the Trofeo dell'Etna in 2001 and took part in the 2001 Giro d'Italia . Two years later he won a section of the Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda and came second overall. After the 2006 season, Jones ended his career, but drove again for his team Amore & Vita in the middle of the 2007 season. In 2010 he won a cyclo-cross race in the United States.
Timothy Jones is a brother-in-law of two cyclists Antonio Fanelli and Ivan Fanelli .
