Timothy Rees

Timothy Rees (born August 15, 1874 in Llain , Llanbadarn Trefeglwys , † April 29, 1939 in Llandaff ) was an Anglican bishop .

Timothy Rees was born in August 1874 to David Rees and his wife Catherine. He attended St. David's College in Lampeter and received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) there in 1896 . After a year at St Michael's College in Aberdare , Rees was ordained a deacon in December 1897 . In 1898 he was ordained a priest .

After serving as a curate at Mountain Ash for two years, Rees returned to St. Michael's College as a lecturer . In 1906 he joined the Community of the Resurrection , an Anglican religious community . He was named the new Bishop of Llandaff in 1931 and held that office until his death in 1939. He was buried in the grounds of Llandaff Cathedral .
