Timur Kapadze ( Russian Тимур Тахирович Кападзе ; born September 5, 1981 in Fergana , Uzbek SSR ) is a former Uzbek football player and current coach.

Timur Kapadze began his career in 1998 with FK Neftchi Fargʻona in his home country, where he played until 2001. He spent the following six years at the top Uzbek club Paxtakor Tashkent , with whom he became the six-time Uzbek champion. From 2008 to 2010 the midfielder was under contract with Bunyodkor Tashkent , where he was able to win the Uzbek championship again. In 2011 he played in South Korea for Incheon United . In 2012 he started at Al-Sharjah and moved to the Kazakh club FK Aqtöbe in June 2012 .
National team
Timur Kapadze played in the Uzbek national soccer team from 2002 to 2015 , for which he played 118 international matches and scored ten goals. In 2004 , 2007 , 2011 and 2015 he took part with the national team in the Asian Football Championship , with fourth place being the best result in 2011. In the three other tournaments, the Uzbeks were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The 2015 quarter-final defeat after extra time against South Korea was his last international match. He was the record international player of Uzbekistan until September 1, 2016, when he was surpassed by Server Jeparov . He has been the team's coach since the beginning of 2018.
