Work

The artist's works include the flour art she developed and the sculpture group Women De Formation .

“I am not only interested in the purely aesthetic statement of my art (...) I live very consciously, very intensely in my time, and so I notice things that strike my mind, that make me laugh and angry, that touch me deeply or keep busy for a long time. This gives rise to ideas for objects that I implement with the help of various materials and techniques. "

Flour type

Flour-Art plays with confusing flour and mail . These are temporary works that have been carried out both indoors and outdoors. The artist creates texts from flour that relate to the place in which they are realized. These places include the Federal Chancellery in Berlin and the Post Tower in Bonn.

Tina Schwichtenberg's sculpture group Women De Formation has been created in a work process since 1988 and today comprises more than 100 bronze figures. “It was my daughter,” says the artist, “who was the model for my first sculpture. This figure exuded so much energy and strength that I knew it was worth working with this body. So the idea was born. The idea from which the 'women-de-formation' emerged over time. ”The formation has been shown in various constellations in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad over the past few years. Since March 2007, a group of sculptures arranged in a circle, consisting of 30 figures, has stood in front of the Post Tower in Bonn's Rheinaue .
