Tine Baun (born July 21, 1979 in Hørsholm , Denmark , born Tine Rasmussen ) is a Danish badminton player .
Career
Tine Rasmussen learned to play badminton in Lillerød. For the club there, she won the U17 junior title in 1995 in women's doubles and singles. In 1997 she won the women’s singles of the U19 in Denmark, from 2004 to 2007 she was also successful with the adults, now starting for the Copenhagen club KMB.
Rasmussen took part in the 2004 Olympics, where she lost to Petya Nedelcheva in the round of 32. In the 2008 Olympic tournament in Beijing , Tine Rasmussen had a bye in the first round. In the round of 32, she won against Akvilė Stapušaitytė from Lithuania . In the round of 16 she lost in three sets against Maria Kristin Yulianti from Indonesia .
In 2010 she married the physiotherapist Martin Baun. At the Denmark Open 2012 she announced her retirement from the All England 2013 on October 17th . To top her career off, she defeated the Thai Ratchanok Intanon in the final and won the Yonex All England Badminton Championships for the third time .
