The Tipal Burn (also known as Tipalt Burn ) is a watercourse in Northumberland , England . It arises from the confluence of Buckbog Sike , Sweet Sike and an unnamed tributary. It initially flows in a westerly direction. North of Thirlwall Castle , he turns south and crosses Hadrian's Wall . It then turns in a south-easterly direction and flows into the South Tyne on the western edge of Haltwhistle .
