Tiraera

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A tiraera (sometimes also tiradera ) is a verbal fight in the reggaeton genre. Just as there is the term diss or beef in hip-hop , the term tiraera in reggaeton actually means the same thing.

In contrast to HipHop, where "Diss-Tracks" often have normal names, in Reggaeton they are usually only called Tiraera a ... (addressed directly to another artist).

A now longer verbal argument - a tiraera exists between two of the most successful artists, Don Omar and Daddy Yankee . Both used to be on stage together or collaborate on some songs: Gata Gangster and La Noche Está Buena . But suddenly Don Omar accused Daddy Yankee of not showing him enough respect during some concerts. Daddy Yankee believed that Don Omar made these statements out of envy of Daddy Yankee's success (Gasolina) and countered them. In the recent past, Don Omar had to endure several tiraeras. One of the better known was the remix of Daddy Yankees Gangster Zone (Zona de Gangsters) , in which Daddy Yankee is supported by Hector 'El Father , Yomo, Arcangel, De La Ghetto and Angel Doze, among others .

But there are also some other verbal wars. Individual labels often fight each other, such as Pina Records ( RKM y Ken-Y , Nicky Jam ) and White Lion Records ( Calle 13 , Alexis y Fido ). Individual artists also use the Tiraera to strike out all over the place and hope to gain a higher profile. One of these artists is, for example, Temperamento, whose songs are certainly 50% Tiraeras.
