Tiran Porter

Tiran Porter (born September 26, 1948 ) is a rock singer and bassist , who was best known as a member of the Doobie Brothers .

biography

Porter joined the Doobies in 1971, replacing Dave Shogren , who had recently dropped out . He made his debut on Toulouse Street the next year and stayed for a number of other albums until the band split up in 1982. But in 1986 he was back at the reunion. In 1995 Porter's solo debut Playing to an Empty House was released on Thunderbird , followed shortly by Themes One .
