Publishing program

The focus of the fiction program is contemporary German literature. For Tisch 7, sustainability is an important factor in responsible publishing, which is why the publisher regularly presents debuts by young authors alongside well-known names. The more well-known authors represented by Table 7 include Jürg Amann , Alban Nikolai Herbst , Doris Konradi and Jochen Schimmang .

Tisch 7 also publishes a smaller number of works by foreign-language European authors in German translation. The criterion for the selection is whether the original language of a text and the contemporary literature of its country of origin are underrepresented in the German-language literature business in the opinion of the publisher. So far, Daniele Benati's novel America is not available as a translation from Italian and Beate Grimsrud's novel An An An Axt vorschleicher is a translation from Norwegian.

In the main series of the publishing house, literary works appear which, in view of their size and narrative quality and form, require hardcover equipment. In addition, the series exists nomads who as flaps Paperback appear and texts presented, which narrow escape generic terms ( essayistic , experimental , short prose ).

Awards

For published in the nomadic series Pornographic amendment was Jürg Amann with the Floriana Prize awarded.

For the publisher's first non-fiction book, Mode in D, A, CH , edited by Kay Alexander Plonka, Tisch 7 received the GermanFashionAward of the Modeverbands Deutschland 2007.
