Tisserand is an impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon , east of Macrobius crater near the western edge of Mare Crisium . The medium-sized, somewhat irregularly shaped crater is moderately eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French astronomer Félix Tisserand .
