Titular diocese of Claneus
The diocese Claneus ( Italian diocesi di Claneo , Latin Dioecesis Claniensis ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a former bishop's seat in the ancient city of the same name ( Greek Κλάνεος Klaneos , presumably identical to today's Bayat ) in the Roman province of Asia or Phrygia and in late antiquity Phrygia Pacatiana in what is now western Turkey . He belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Amorion .
