Titular diocese of Leavenworth
The diocese Leavenworth (Latin: Dioecesis Leavenworthensis ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
The American diocese was founded on May 29, 1877 from the area of the Vicariate Apostolic Kansas . It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Saint Louis and was 12,524 square miles in size. On May 10, 1947, it was replaced by the Diocese of Kansas City .
