Tow Ubukata

Tow Ubukata ( Japanese 冲 方 丁 , Ubukata Tō ; born February 14, 1977 in Gifu Prefecture ) is a Japanese writer and screenwriter of animes .

biography

Since he wanted to be a writer, Ubukata took part in a competition by Kadokawa Shoten after graduating from high school in 1996 and won it with Kuroi Kisetsu . He then studied at Waseda University and worked in the games industry from 1997. Together with the illustrator Mami Itō , he produced the manga Pilgrim Jäger in 2001 . He left university without a degree.

In 2003 he won the 24th Japan Science Fiction Grand Prize for Mardock Scramble . His novel Chaos Legion formed the basis for a Capcom video game of the same title. In 2003 he was nominated for Madoromi no Sephirot , in 2004 for Mardock Scramble and in 2007 for Mardock Velocity for the Seiun Prize .

He worked on the manga and anime Le Chevalier D'Eon . He wrote the script for the manga and was involved in drafting the anime's story and script. Both versions differ greatly in the plot. In 2014 he wrote the storyline for the anime Psycho-Pass 2 .
