Tobi Krell
Tobias "Tobi" Krell (* 1986 in Mainz ) is a German television presenter, reporter and editor. He is the presenter and namesake of the program Checker Tobi , which has been broadcast weekly on KiKA and Erste since September 2013 .
Career
Krell is the son of a cameraman and grew up with two younger siblings in the outskirts of Mainz. After graduating from high school, he worked as an editor and reporter for various print, radio and television editorial teams, including DASDING.tv (SWR). He completed a bachelor's degree in sociology and political science at the University of Münster and completed his master's degree in media studies at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
In the casting for the show Checker Tobi , he prevailed against 160 competitors. On January 31, 2019, the documentary Checker Tobi and the secret of our planet came to German cinemas.
