Tobias Gerd Leveringhaus (born February 1982 in Herford ) is a German film producer .

Life

Leveringhaus grew up in Lemgo . After graduating from high school in 2002 at the Marianne-Weber-Gymnasium , he studied communication research and phonetics in Bonn from 2004 . During this time he published film reviews in online magazines and daily newspapers. From 2006 to 2009 he studied creative production at the international film school in Cologne (ifs). His graduation film, the short film Kriegerstock with Michael Degen and his daughter Elisabeth , attracted attention at the Hof International Film Festival , the Unlimited Short Film Festival in Cologne and at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival .

Leveringhaus has lived and worked in Cologne since 2002. At the end of 2012 he founded a film production company . In 2014 he expanded it to include the video-on-demand portal Kinoflimmern and operates under the name Sodawasser Pictures UG. He is also curator of the film series Guerilla Kino , which has existed since 2017 , which revives old cinema venues in Cologne for one evening each. In addition, he has been program director at the Turistarama cinema in Cologne since October 2017.

He is a member of Drop-Out Cinema and the North Rhine-Westphalia Film Office .
