Tobias Vetter (born October 8, 1981 in Gera ) is a German cyclist who is active on the track and road . He starts in paracycling class C4.

Athletic career

Tobias Vetter is a project developer by profession . He has been physically disabled since a motorcycle accident ; his left hand and leg are restricted.

After his recovery, Vetter initially competed in fitness sports for years , then successfully mountain bike races for four years . In late 2016, he bought a racing bike to prepare for road races . In April 2017 he started his first race on the road, in May he won the Bavarian runner-up in road racing and in June he became German champion in his class. At the 2017 UCI Paracycling Road World Championships in Pietermaritzburg , South Africa , he took eighth place in the time trial and, as a debutant, surprisingly won the title of world champion in road racing. In the same year he won two European Cup races.
