Toby Howarth

Toby Howarth (* 1962 in Nairobi , Kenya ) is an English scholar of Islam and a priest of the Church of England of the Anglican Church . He is Secretary for Interreligious Affairs to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Mission and Public Affairs Council of the Church of England.

He lived and worked in the UK , Uganda , India and other countries. His academic background combines Christian theology with an MA in Islamic Studies (Islamic Studies) from the University of Birmingham .

He is a representative of Christianity on the nine-member board of the King Abdullah Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Vienna .
