Toei subway
Toei Subway ( Japanese 都 営 地下 鉄 , Toei chika tetsu , dt. "Prefecture-operated subway") is the name of four subway lines in Tokyo , which are administered by the Tokyo Prefecture Transportation Department . The remaining eight lines belong to the Tokyo Metro .
Toei was founded in 1960 by Tokyo Prefecture . It transports two million passengers a day on four lines with a length of 109 km and 106 train stations. The City Transportation Department also operates most of the bus routes and the only tram route in Tokyo .
