Life
Beckert began his career in the mid-1970s, his film debut was the Woody Allen - comedy The Straw Man . For his second film, Peter Yates ' adventure film The Depth , he was nominated for the first time for an Oscar in the category Best Sound in 1978 . The second and final nomination for an Oscar was in 1988 for The Witches of Eastwick .
