Thomas "Tom" Croft (born November 7, 1985 in Basingstoke ) is an English rugby union player . He plays as a winger and second row striker for the England national team and the Leicester Tigers .

Croft began playing rugby at school at the age of eleven. He played at Newbury RFC for five years before joining the Leicester Tigers in 2005. He made his debut for England in the 2008 Six Nations against France . He prevailed during the tournament as a regular player and switched between the position of the winger and the second row. In 2009 he was nominated for the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa after Alan Quinlan was suspended. He won the English championship with his club that year and reached the final in the Heineken Cup. There the Tigers had to admit defeat to Leinster .
