Tom Hooker
Tom Hooker , aka Thomas Beecher Hooker, (born November 18, 1957 in Greenwich , Connecticut ) is an American singer and actor.
He began his musical career as a drummer while studying in Switzerland. He moved to Italy in the mid-1980s, supposedly because he was fascinated by the Italo-Disco sound. There he was discovered by the Italian music producers Turatti and Chiregato. They wrote and produced Hooker's first hit, Looking For Love .
In 1985 he recorded the successful song Swiss Boy under the pseudonym Lou Sern (alluding to the Swiss city of Lucerne ) , which was published in 1986.
In 1984 Hooker played one of the leading roles in the Italian music film Jocks , which was little known internationally.
Hooker achieved his greatest successes as a secret singer for the Italo disco star Den Harrow , which was very successful throughout Europe and to whom he lent his voice. However, it was Hooker himself who finally ended the great success for Den Harrow when he was no longer ready to sing for Harrow after two extremely successful albums.
The subsequent attempt at a solo career, however, was not particularly successful for Hooker.
