Tom Rosenthal (born August 26, 1986 in London ) is an English composer and singer-songwriter who lives in London. He sings, plays the piano and the ukulele , and his favorite genres are indie folk and indie pop .

Rosenthal studied anthropology at Durham University . His music has been used in various TV shows, for example in the sixth season of the UK series Skins with the songs Forgets Slowly , Lights Are on but Nobody's Home and Take Care as well as in the US talk show Oprah .

His song Go Solo was selected by Til Schweiger as the soundtrack for the film Honig im Kopf .

Rosenthal's debut album Keep a Private Behind the Shop (2011) was named Best British Album of the Year by the BBC . The albums Bolu and Fenn were named after his two children.

Since 2019 he has also been heard live in concerts, the first concert taking place in St Pancras Old Church in London. Then he went on a European tour.

He currently lives with Bella Pace.
