Career

Sandvold, who started for the Østre Toten Skilag , made his international debut in the 1996/97 season in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . Although he only achieved 127th place overall in the first two years, he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup on March 1, 1998 in ski flying in Vikersund . In the 2001/02 season he got two more top 10 placements in Vikersund. After the season, which he finished as 73rd overall, he ended his active ski jumping career.

Sandvold completed an apprenticeship as a painter during his career and founded his own painting company in Melhus in 2003 .
