Tom Werneck

Tom Werneck (* 1939 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German game expert and author.

Life

Werneck studied law and traveled to Africa , Japan and the USA during his studies . After setting up and running a training institute, he switched to the electronics industry, where he held leading positions in training, sales, human resources and public relations. He wrote a number of articles for newspapers, magazines and radio programs and authored around 40 books. These include solutions for the magic cube , the magic pyramid , the tower and the devil's barrel . Before joining the “ Game of the Year ” jury, which he co-founded and significantly influenced, he also developed games himself. Today he lives in Haar (near Munich) and works as a journalist, management trainer and communications consultant.

Werneck heads the Bavarian Games Archive in Haar , which collects and documents board games and games literature.
