Toma Jurcă (born January 1, 1928 in Voiteg , Kingdom of Romania , † March 25, 2013 ) was a Romanian football player and coach.

Athletic career

Jurcă began playing football at Ripensia UMT , with the club he was junior champion. He then played at CFR Timișoara , Știința Iași , Tractorul Brașov and UTA Arad . In 102 games in Divizia A he had scored 17 goals as an active player. With Vagonul Arad , who played in the lower class , he let his career end, where he also took up his first coaching position. He achieved his greatest success in the 1967/68 season, when the team reached the semi-finals in the national cup and rose to Divizia A. As the bottom of the table, however, the club said goodbye to the first class after just one season. Jurcă then worked at FC Politehnica Timișoara before returning to UTA Arad and taking part in the European Cup with the club . He later trained again Vagonul Arad and Șoimii Lipova .
