Tomislav "Toma" Zdravković ( sk. Kyr. : Томислав "Тома" Здравковић, * 20th November 1938 in Pecenjevce in Leskovac ; † 30th September 1991 in Belgrade ) was a Yugoslav folk singer.

Life

Toma Zdravković was a well-known figure in the Serbian folk scene; he was a poet and known for his sad songs. His songs were in the form of Serbian folk music and chansons . He had a characteristic voice, not very powerful, but warm, resembling Charles Aznavour's singing . The violin underlined the melancholy atmosphere in most of the songs. He often wrote the lyrics himself, devoted to an unhappy love or lovesickness , while he often sang in kafanen (Serbian pubs). He married four times, but only moved in with Gordana, his fourth wife, in the last few years of his life.
