Tomas Davulis

Tomas Davulis (born May 29, 1975 in the Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian labor lawyer , professor at Vilnius University .

Life

In 1998 Davulis graduated from the Law Faculty of Vilnius University with a law degree . With a scholarship from the Adolf and Margot Krebs Foundation, he completed his postgraduate degree ( LL.M ) summa cum laude at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg in 2001 (subject of the master’s thesis: “The effects of European labor law on the law of the candidate countries EU using the example of Lithuania ”, head Prof. Manfred Löwisch ). Dabulis received the DAAD award for outstanding international students (2,000 DM). In 2002 he received his doctorate on the subject of "Problems of integrating Lithuanian labor law into the EU legal system". 1996, from 1997 to 1999 he was a lawyer at the trade union institute, from 1996 to 2000 legal consultant of “ Litexpo ”, from 1998 assistant at VU, from 2003 vice dean of the faculty; from 2006 to 2009 head of the chair for labor law, from 2009 director of the institute, from May 2012 dean of the faculty.

Since 2010 he has been chairman of the Lithuanian Lawyers Association .
