Tomasz Kajdanski

Tomasz Kajdanski (born October 26, 1958 ) is a Polish dancer and choreographer .

Career

After completing his training at the State Ballet High School, Tomasz Kajdanski began his career as a dancer as a soloist at the National Theater in Warsaw . From there he moved to Heidelberg to Johann Kresnik and to the Bavarian State Ballet , where he quickly developed into a formative protagonist in pieces by John Neumeier , John Cranko , Youri Vámos , Jiří Kylián , Hans van Manen and others, and created numerous roles began to choreograph. Then he was ballet director in Rostock , Coburg , Kiel and Eisenach . From 2009 to 2019 he was ballet director and chief choreographer at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau . For his choreography "Tschaikowsky" he was nominated for the first German theater prize Der Faust in 2006 as one of the three best choreographers in Germany. For his production “Kristallpalast” he was awarded the Federal Theater Prize.
