Tomi Rumpunen (born April 11, 1987 in Raisio ) is a Finnish volleyball player .

Career

Rumpunen began his career with his hometown club Raision Loimu. His father, national player Kai Rumpunen , who was also his first coach , already played there . 2005/06 Tomi Rumpunen completed his first season in the Finnish first division. In 2008 he moved to Salon Piivolley. In the 2010/11 season, the outside attacker played for Hurrikaani Loimaa . Then he went to Germany to the A! B! C Titans Berg. Country . With the Wuppertal team, he made it to the first division. However, Rumpunen returned to his homeland. With Kokkolan Tiikerit he was the captain of the team of Finnish champions in 2013. The following season the team won the national cup and became runner-up. Kokkolan Tiikerit also took part in the European Cup. In 2014/15 Rumpunen played again for Raision Loimu. In 2015 he took part in the World League with the Finnish national team. He was in the squad together with his younger brother Ossi Rumpunen . In his hometown, he was voted Sportsman of the Year 2015. In the 2015/16 season, the outside attacker was again active abroad and played in the Romanian league at Tricolorul LMV Ploieşti . He was then committed by the German Bundesliga club SWD Powervolleys Düren . There he played together with his brother in the 2016/17 season and reached third place in the league. He then moved to the French second division club Association Sportive Orange Nassau.
