The Tommelite (Norwegian for hangover thumb ) is a small and isolated rocky outcrop in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . In the Ahlmannryggen it rises 10 km east of the Lorentzenpiggen .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped the rock using aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) made between 1958 and 1959 .
