Tommy Haynes (actually Thomas Zarlef Haynes; born July 14, 1952 in Nashville ) is a former American long and triple jumper .

In 1975 he won silver in the triple jump at the Pan American Games in Mexico City and was fifth at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal .

In 1976 he became US triple jump champion, from 1975 to 1977 three times in a row US indoor triple jump and 1977 US indoor long jump champion. Starting for Middle Tennessee State University , he became NCAA hall champion in 1974 .
