Tommy Vercetti (* 1981 in Berne ; real name Simon Küffer ) is a Swiss dialect - Rapper from Bern.
biography
At the beginning of 2000, Simon Küffer was still a member of the MU Posse. A crew that included the later Round Table Knights Francis Man and DJ QuestionMark . He became well known in 2003 through his participation in the Swiss Ultimate Battle at Bierhübeli in Bern. For the battle he also got his stage name Tommy Vercetti , the name of the protagonist from the then current computer game GTA: Vice City . In the end he only had to admit defeat in the final duel against the Glarner MC Bandit .
In addition to his battlerap texts, Tommy Vercetti is characterized above all by his socially critical texts. He describes himself as a Marxist and ran for the communist PdA in the Bern city council elections .
With his friend Dezmond Dez he released the mixtapes Cheftape 1 and Cheftape 2 . In 2005 the solo mixtape Flug zum Tod was released and in 2006 StrassenLampenBlind was released . The mixtape TheRadiosessions was released in 2007. In 2008 the third part of the Cheftape series was released, in the following year Tommy Vercetti released another solo mixtape, Guät Nacht.
Then he decided to create his first album, for which he took three years. In addition, he founded the formation Eldorado FM with Dezmond Dez and Manillio . So far five free mixtapes have been released under this name. Since the third Eldorado FM mixtape Summernachtstroum , the St. Gallen rapper CBN has also been an integral part of the Eldorado FM crew.
In October 2010, Tommy Vercettis debut album was released Acrobat that successfully in 19th place in the Swiss charts got in. At the same time, the Best Of The Magnesium Files was released. After Eldorado FM's first album was released in 2015 ( Luke mir si di father ), Tommy Vercetti's free mixtape Rosario was released in February 2016 .
Tommy Vercetti was awarded the recognition prize of the Literature Commission of the Canton of Bern for his work. The production of the Glanton Gang album was supported by cultural funding.
