Anthony James "Tony" Hibbert (born February 20, 1981 in Liverpool ) is a former English football player .

Career

As a right full-back , he began his football career in the youth of Everton FC . In 1998, Hibbert won the FA Youth Cup with the Everton youth team .

Hibbert made his debut for the first team at Everton in 2001 in a 2-0 away win over West Ham United . The official so-called "ACTIM index", a statistic of the Premier League , led Hibbert as the best English right-back in the 2004/05 season.

In July 2005, Hibbert signed a new four-year contract with his home club.

In his long career at Everton, he scored his only goal so far late. On August 8, 2012, he scored a 4-1 free kick in a friendly against AEK Athens . Some fans of the "Toffees" made their announcement true to storm the square to congratulate Hibbert personally. He was the longest serving player at Everton for a long time.
