Tony Hicks (born March 15,  1994 ) is an American basketball player .

career

Hicks from South Holland (US state Illinois ) was from 2012 to 2015 top performers of the basketball team of the University of Pennsylvania in the first NCAA division. The highest point average of his three years at "Penn" he posted in the 2013/14 season, when he scored 14.9 points per match and 2.9 basket assists per game. After the end of the 2014/15 game year he moved within the NCAA Division 1 to the University of Louisville. After changing universities, he stayed out in the 2015/16 season, during which time he obtained his degree in sociology. In January 2017, Hicks broke his right hand and was consequently unable to take a break for several weeks. In the 2016/17 season he played 23 games for Louisville and scored an average of 3.7 points per mission.

Hicks began his career as a professional basketball player in the fall of 2017 with the English first division club Surrey Scorchers . In February and March 2018 he was named "Player of the Month" by the BBL . With a points average of 19.5 per game, Hicks was the second best scorer in the league in the main round of the 2017/18 BBL season. In addition, he posted five rebounds and four basket assists per encounter.

In August 2018, Hicks was signed by the Rostock Seawolves (promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA ). With 14.4 points per match, he was the best goal scorer in Rostock in the course of the 2018/19 season and posted another team record with 4.2 assists per action. After the end of the 2018/19 season, Hicks was initially without a club, at the beginning of November 2019 he returned to Rostock.
