Top 12 (women) 2009/10

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Top 12 2009/10 was the eighth French team championship in women's chess .

Champion was the newly promoted Evry Grand Roque , while the defending champion Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 had to be content with fourth place and withdrew his team after the season. From Nationale I, Évry Stade Français JEEN , Club de Marseille Duchamps and La Diagonale du Sud Montpellier were promoted . While Montpellier and Stade Français JEEN achieved relegation, Marseille Duchamps had to relegate together with Club de Reims Echec et Mat and CE de Bois-Colombes . In purely sporting terms, Cercle d'Echecs de Strasbourg would also have been relegated, but they benefited from Clichy's withdrawal. For the reported team squad, see Top 12 team squad (women) 2009/10 .

Game dates

The preliminary round took place from February 5th to 7th, 2010 and was organized centrally in Paris . The final round was played on June 26th and 27th in Châlons-en-Champagne .

mode

The twelve participating clubs were divided into two groups of six ( Groupe A and Groupe B ) and played a simple round-robin tournament in these . The number of team points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight) first decided on the placement, then the direct comparison, then the difference between winning and losing games and ultimately the number of winning games. The last two in each group were relegated to National I, while the first two in each group qualified for the final round. This was carried out in the knockout system , with third place also being played out.
