Top 12 2018
The top 12 2018 was the 38th French team championship in chess .
The champions became the Club de Bischwiller , which won all competitions and relegated the defending champion Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 to second place. The Club d'Echecs Metz Fischer , Évry Grand Roque and CEMC Monaco rose from the Nationale I last year . From a purely sporting point of view, Metz would have been the only newcomer to stay in the league, while Évry and Monaco together with the Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs occupied the relegation places. However, since CE de Bois-Colombes and the Club de Tremblay-en-France withdrew their teams and Évry also waived, Monaco and Vandœuvre remained in the class.
For the reported team squads, see team squad of the Top 12 2018 .
mode
The twelve participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament . The number of team points decided on the placement (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight). In the event of a tie, the first decision was the direct comparison, then the board point balance (difference between the number of winning and losing games).
Game dates
The competitions were played in Brest from May 26th to June 5th, 2018 .
