The Mesherskoye peat narrow gauge railway ( Russian Узкоколейная железная дорога Мещёрского торфопредприятия / Uskokoleinaja schelesnaja doroga Meschtschorskowo torfopredprijatija ) is a light railway in the Russian Ryazan .

history

The first section of the narrow-gauge railway with a gauge of 750 mm and a length of 46 km was opened in 1952. It connects the urban-type Bolon settlement with a peat bog area . In 2013, the peat plant Peter Peat ( Russian “Питэр Пит” ) was built and put into operation.
