Torhild Bransdal

Torhild Bransdal (born April 10, 1956 ) is a Norwegian politician of the Christian Democratic Kristelig Folkeparti (KrF). She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

In 1999, Bransdal became mayor of Vennesla , which she remained until 2017. In 2015 she became the woman who has held the post of mayor the longest.

Bransdal entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2017 general election . There she represents the constituency of Vest-Agder and she became a member of the local and administrative committee. In January 2019 she became part of the parliamentary committee of the KrF group. In March 2020, she announced that she did not want to run again for a seat in Storting in the 2021 election .
