The Torpedo Boyz are a German music group from Berlin .
history
The Torpedo Boyz were founded in 2004 by the DJ and musician of the band Space Kelly Ken Steen (Kentastic) and the former house DJ Holger Schuhmann (Rollin Hand). With their 12 "single Gimme a Bassline ! , the group made it into the top 5 of the German club charts. After further singles, the debut album Headache Music was released in 2006 and the successor Cum on Feel the Boyz in 2007, which won them the Independent Music Award in the USA for best album in the Dance / Electronica category. Both albums were also officially released in North America (on Sounds from the Roof) and Eastern Europe (Soyuz). MCs Returner and Daisuke, the bassist came to support their live performances Kurtis Bo and drummer Borat joined the group. Concerts followed in Russia, China, the USA and many European countries as far as Kazakhstan. The studio album Return of the Ausländers was released on Lounge Records in May 2010. As part of this release, the Torpedo Boyz joined in 2011 at South by Southwest (Austin / Texas), at the famous Roxy Theater in Los Angeles and at the renowned CMJ Music Marathon in New York. In 2015, the singles Gr lfrnd and Bocadillo , which were also included in the following album Don't Cry . After the album release, concerts followed in Berlin and Hamburg.
