Torsten Schneider
Torsten Schneider (born January 24, 1969 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg ) is a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2006 . Schneider has been the finance and budget policy spokesman and parliamentary manager of the SPD parliamentary group since 2011 .
biography
After graduating from high school in 1987 and military service in Zittau until 1989, he studied law and political science at the Free University of Berlin and passed both state law exams. He also completed training as a business mediator. Schneider worked as a freelance lawyer with his own law firm in Berlin-Mitte and has been the full-time parliamentary manager of the SPD parliamentary group in the House of Representatives since 2011.
politics
Schneider was elected to the House of Representatives as a direct candidate via the Pankow 3 constituency in the Berlin election in 2006 . He was able to defend the direct mandate in the 2011 and 2016 parliamentary elections.
