Toshiaki Yokota

Toshiaki Yokota ( Japanese 横 田 年 昭 , Yokota Toshiaki ; * 1944 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese fusion and jazz musician (flute).

Toshiaki Yokota played in the Japanese jazz scene from the 1960s. From 1970 he directed the band The Beat Generation , with which the album Flute Adventure: Le soleil était encore chaud presented; participating musicians were u. a. Hideo Ichikawa , Kimio Mizutani , Nobuyuki Murakami and Masaoki Terakawa . In the same year, the productions Exciting Flute (with arrangements by Norio Maeda ), Primitive Community (with Kimio Mizutani, Yusuke Hoguchi , Shunzo Ohno , Chito Kawachi ) and Elevation , with Masahiko Satoh (arrangement), Hideo Ichikawa, Sadanori Nakamure , Jun Suzuki , Takeshi Inomata, and Larry Sunaga. He also played in Takeshi Inomata's band Sound Limited in 1977 .
