Sadanori Nakamure

Sadanori Nakamure ( Japanese 中牟 礼 貞 則 , Nakamure Sadanori ; born March 15, 1933 in Izumi , Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz guitarist .

Life

Sadanori Nakamure began his career as a professional musician in 1952; first recordings were made in 1966 with Sadao Watanabe and Masabumi Kikuchi ( Jazz & Bossa ). In the following years he played a. a. also with Helen Merrill and Charlie Mariano ( Folk Soul , 1967), Norio Maeda , Hiroshi Matsumoto , Takeshi Inomata , in the 1970s also with Toshiaki Yokota , Gil Evans , Ann Burton , Kunihiko Sugano , Shun Sakai , Isao Suzuki , Masako Miyazaki , Mari Nakamoto , Yasuko Agawa , also in the big band The Third , on whose albums Tribute to Duke Ellington , Tribute to Norio Maeda (1974) and Take the "A" Train (1977) he participated.

1975 Sadanori recorded the duo album Conversation ( Three Blind Mice ) with Kunimitsu Inaba ; In 1979 the trio album Live at Shiny Stockings (Victor, with Masamichi Hosokawa and Takahiro Suzuki ) followed. Around 1980 the album Shungo Sawada Vs. Sadanori Nakamure (Teichiku), which he recorded with guitarist Shungo Sawada as well as Kunimitsu Inaba and Donald Bailey (drums). In the 1980s he worked with Shōji Yokouchi , Hideko Okiyama , Harumi Kaneko and Martha Miyake . With the album We'll Be Together Again in 1994 he continued the cooperation with Kunimitsu Inaba. In the field of jazz he was involved in 47 recording sessions between 1966 and 2011.
