Kunimitsu Inaba ( Japanese 稲 葉 國 光 , Inaba Kunimitsu ; born April 29, 1934 in Shimoda , Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese musician ( double bass ) of modern jazz .

Live and act

Kunimitsu Inaba worked with Terumasa Hino and Hideo Shiraki from the mid- 1956s ; In 1968 he was a member of the All-Stars-Band of the Japanese Swing Journal with Hino, Hiroshi Suzuki , Sadao Watanabe , Masabumi Kikuchi and Masahiko Togashi . In the following years he was a member of the Kikuchi-Hino Quintet; In the 1970s he worked with guest jazz greats in Japan such as Joe Henderson , Abbey Lincoln , Helen Merrill , Irene Kral and Ann Burton , as well as with the formation The Freedom Unity (with Hiromisa and Hiroshi Suzuki), Mari Nakamoto , Akira Ishikawa , Shungo Sawada / Sadanori Nakamure , Keiko Nemoto , Eiichi Fujii , Yasuko Agawa and Masuro Imada .
