With the apostolic letter Totius orbis ( German for  the whole world ) in the form of a motu proprio , dated November 9, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI promulgated . some new orders for the basilicas of San Francesco and Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi .

Provisions

In order to coordinate and guarantee the pastoral service in the above-mentioned basilicas as well as the attached monastery , but also the pastoral work in the diocese of Assisi-Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino , the Pope was keen to support the activities of his predecessor Paul VI. (Motu proprio: "Inclita toto" of August 8, 1969) to adapt the established rules to today's conditions.

Legacy and jurisdiction

"I. Religious orders
